Hello Friends and Cooperators!

It’s so great to see the sun, hear the drips from the eaves, and see the brown grass begin to emerge as we put this newsletter together!

We have a few updates for you this month related to our continued partnership with National Co-op Grocers (NCG), updates on in-store flyers, and some anniversary updates.

Co+Op Deals

You may have noticed new tags on the dairy coolers and shelves or picked up a fresh flyer at the register. That’s because Co+op Deals are here! As part of our partnership with National Co+op Grocers (NCG), we now have more sales on many of the products we already carry.

One of the great benefits of this program is price consistency across co-ops. If you’ve shopped at Hunger Mountain, Morrisville, or Littleton, you’ll find the same deals there too. So before making a trip out of town, check here first—you might find exactly what you need at the same price.

Update on Grocery Flyers

The way we share sales is changing. One of our distributors is changing their grocery flyer to be online-only in April, which means mailed flyers are being phased out. While it can be an inconvenience, it is a chance for us to reduce waste and improve sustainability, so we’re taking this opportunity to streamline how we communicate our sales and specials.

Over the next few months, we’ll be working to combine everything into a single, in-house flyer that makes it easier to see all sales in one place. Later this month, we’ll be adding new in-store signage to help make sure sale information is easy to find.

For now, weekly sales specials will be available online at https://buffalomountainmarket.com/sales/, and we’ll continue sharing updates on social media. You’ll also notice fewer printed flyers at the register as we transition.

We appreciate your patience as we make these changes and look forward to bringing you a clearer, more sustainable way to shop our deals.

March Member Sales

As always, we have a number of things on sale for Member-Owners this month, including items from three locally-owned, women-run companies: Samhain Herbs, Vermont Bee Balm, and Northwoods Tallow.

Request for Participation: Memories and Designs

Planning is under way for our 50th anniversary celebration, and we’re looking for input from you on a couple of things. First is our “Member Memories” program. If you have anecdotes, pictures, stories, names of people we should connect with, clippings — anything! — to share about your co-op experience during the past 50 years, send that to me******@**fc.coop! We’re hoping to create a few displays around the store to celebrate.

Secondly, we are putting out a call to all artists, designers, etc. to get involved with helping us create some 50th anniversary clothing and whatnot: hats, shirts, bags, etc. We’d love to have a few different designs available to use for this year and the future, so please send us your ideas for consideration. If you’d like to be considered, please reach out to sa***@**mc.coop for more details about the process and timing.

We Love to Hear from You

Every day notes of product requests and suggestion, support, and questions come in to us, and we love it. We are working hard to respond in kind, so please keep your notes coming. If you want a response to your note, please leave a name and contact information. We are endeavoring to respond more consistently to our requests, and would love to hear suggestions on how we can improve feedback for the co-op.

Drop a note in the suggestion box in the store, use the contact forms on our website, give us a call, or send an email to in**@**fc.coop.

All our best.
